Our client, a successful and growing Technology Company, has the need to hire a Senior Manager of Software/Firmware Engineering. This role will be HQ in their Cypress office and they have a Hybrid work environment(two to three days in the office). Our client is approximately a $1.8B Company with a global presence in over 60 countries.

As our Senior Firmware Engineering Manager, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to the success of a cutting-edge technology company by:

·      Overseeing and guiding the software/firmware engineering team.

·      Evaluating product specifications and designs.

·      Leading and participating in design and code evaluations.

·      Advocating for a secure software development lifecycle (SSDL).

·      Engaging in collaborative planning events, workshops, and system presentations.

·      Championing continuous improvement and agile methodologies.

·      Collaborating with clients to comprehend their needs and prerequisites.

·      Coordinating with manufacturing partners on production-related matters.

·      Collaborating closely with various engineering and quality teams.

What we admire about your background is any of the following:

• Demonstrated experience in managing remote team members across different time zones and/or countries.
• Proficiency in embedded development, with a specialization in ARM Linux operating systems.
• Proficiency in developing and deploying applications on Linux and Windows platforms.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, and a preference for those with knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
• Knowledge of digital certificates.

Your qualifications and educational background should encompass:

• Possession of a bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a similar field, or a corresponding blend of education and hands-on experience.
• A minimum of 3+ years of engineering experience, ideally within the electronics industry, and experience in team management.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++ and C#.
• Competency in web development technologies (HTTP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, RESTful, JSON, XML, MQTT).
• Familiarity with TCP/IP networking, encompassing transport layer protocols like TCP and UDP, and application layer protocols like HTTPS.
• Experience using Jira, highly advantageous.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and cybersecurity.
